UK commercial broadcaster ITV has acquired preschool series Momolu & Friends from Finnish animation production company Ferly. It will air on free-to-air channel ITVBe.
The 78×7’ series is a co-production between Ferly, Canada’s Yellow Animation, Belgium’s Digital Graphics and Germany’s Atmosphere Media. On YouTube the brand extends to Momolu Minis . It is also available on AVoD platform Kidoodle and the Playkids app.
The show has already been picked up by TVOKids, Société Radio Canada and Knowledge in Canada and by YLE in Finland. Part of the Momolu franchise, it will begin airing on ITVBe’s LittleBe block in spring next year.
Momolu is a panda who teaches viewers how to solve problems and work together. The show also features arts and crafts elements. The concept is created by Finnish Leena Fredriksson.
