Finnish Gnome Entertainment and Danish Parka Pictures has signed a deal joining internationally acclaimed Producer Lilian Klages and director Jesper Møller to the team behind Gnome the Movie.
The Gnome Movie is an animated feature film about the extraordinary adventures of the young Gnome Tom and his little brother Theo. The film will be a combination of real live backgrounds and high-end CGI character animation. The project is planned to start shooting in Finnish national parks in 2016 with subsequent animation production start, and the movie is planned to open worldwide early 2018. The budget of the film is 10m€. The Finnish Film Foundation is supporting the development of the project.
Lilian Klages is a seasoned producer; having produced animated feature films for the European as well as the worldwide audience for more than 20 years.
Lilian Klages is now Executive Producer and Partner at Parka Pictures in Copenhagen, Denmark and Dreamin’ Dolphin Film in Munich, Germany.
Both companies devoted to develop and produce high quality international animated features films.
Jesper Møller has an impressive record in international feature animation. He has been a leading animator on a long slate of animated movies, on productions by Hollywood majors as well as on European productions before becoming a screenwriter and acclaimed director on films such as:
